Good morning friends :)
June 1st is here... May disappeared so fast that it feels like we skipped from April to June! It will take extra discipline on our part to continue memorizing through these summer months... they just seem busier with the nice weather - more visiting, outings, special events, vacations... Let's not lose ground but work hard to continue to build up our scripture base. Let's not let busyness kill our progress! :)
So let's hear it.... what verse have you chosen to dwell on for the first half of June?

Sandra, Qatar. I was away travelling for a lot of this last couple of weeks and just don't think I've learned the 5 verses I picked for May 15 well enough, so I'm going to keep at the same ones again for the next two weeks. I have them posted on my fridge door as well as on my steering wheel in the car so I learn them faster during the days I drive back and forth to work. Missed that for a week and a half this time!! Good luck to everyone with their memorizing! It's wonderful to write God's word on our hearts!!

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

I did Matthew 5:16 last time, so will back up to cover the verse in context :)
“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house."
Matthew 5:13-15 NIV

For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.

'He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the LORD.' Psalm 40.3 ESV
What a wonderful promise, if we praise Him many will SEE and put their trust in the LORD. And if they are going to SEE our praise, our praise can not be just words.

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the JOY that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2 KJV
